Zara's Retreat | 2365 comments THE COMPLETE WORKS CHALLENGE - 2015
January 1st - December 31st, 2015

Do you have authors you like but haven't had the chance to explore his or her writing fully? Here's your chance! For this challenge, pick an author (or two or three) that you enjoy. Look him or her up on Å·±¦ÓéÀÖ, and read every book he or she has written (not every version, don't worry, just every unique work). You do NOT need to count short stories or books your author has merely contributed to, introduced, edited or translated.

For example, let's say you pick Jonathan Safran Foer. He has 30 unique works on Å·±¦ÓéÀÖ, but there are only five books you would need to read to complete this challenge because most of the books are collections or books he's provided a foreword for:
Extremely Loud and Incredibly Close
Everything Is Illuminated
Eating Animals
Tree of Codes
New American Haggadah

Zara's Retreat | 2365 comments Erika wrote: "Is this for books by our chosen author that we haven't read yet, or are we also being encouraged to re-read books we've read by them previously in order to fully complete the challenge?"

Re-reads are acceptable Erika but you'll need to read them through from cover to cover again. No skipping pages. Erika if you've read some books by your favourite author already and don't want to re-read them then concentrating just on those books you haven't read is also fine.

message 7: by Angelique (last edited Jan 26, 2015 03:19AM) (new)

Angelique Oh my, most of the authors I would like to read the complete set of are writing way too much! I'm already planning on reading Stephen King, but I'm doing that over a two year period.

For this challenge I've decided to concentrate on the Bronte Sisters

Anne Brontë 1/2
Agnes Grey 24-01-2015
The Tenant Of Wildfell Hall

Emily Brontë 0/3
The Poems of Emily Brontë
Wuthering Heights
Gondal's Queen

Charlotte Brontë 0/10
Jane Eyre
The Professor
Villette
Shirley
Sarah Miles
The Search After Happiness
Stancliffe's Hotel
Mina Laury
My Angria And The Angrians
Emma

Provided I can get hold of a copy of them all, this would be 15 books in total.

Please let me know if I've missed one or two.

1/15
