Actually, I preferred Cal's and Tanner's story in that series... Just a bit more complexity it I think :-) But I loved the lack of B.S. between Mike and Dusty. It was such a refreshing change.

That is what I used to do. Use the pilot light on my stove-top to get it to rise.

Rachel the Book Harlot Mmm, that looks delicious. I don't think I've ever seen cookies that contained pumpkin seeds. It looks really good.

Lisa Kay, you bake from scratch? Where do you live again? :)

Sadly, you definitely do not want me in a kitchen. My friend Valerie is an amazing cook - I took a trip with her to buy some items for her kitchen and I had no idea what 99% of the cooking machinery were used for.

Terab (fiddylover) | 54 comments I just started Taken (Give & Take, #1) by Kelli Maine this weekend. I'm about 75% done. Going to read the follow-up novella next called No Take Backs A Taken Novella by Kelli Maine

message 1412: by Lina (new)

Lina | 5563 comments I've not heard of that author before Tera. I'll have to keep an eye out.

Yup! Love Williams-Sonoma. I haven't been there in awhile...but it is calling my name. Which is terrible, b/c I need to de-clutter my new kitchen!

CaroB is a good baker, too!

Wow, I think I'm the only one who did not like Cal's story. I hated both he and the heroine pretty intensely for about 75% of the book. Games of the Heart was great for me, mainly because I fell in love with Fin and Reesee.....they were so adorable!

Megan are you up to date on all her books? And did you read them all in series order?

Speaking of which, after I came home from my Zumba class, and with your pumpkin cookies fresh in my mind, I decided to bake some blueberry mini-muffins with crumble topping for the kids lunchboxes. I'm on a diet ATM, so I can only bake for others, but I now have fresh smelling mini-muffins cooling down on my kitchen bench and I'm trying to resist... Help ME!

Rachel the Book Harlot ShoSho wrote: "OH GOD I can never resist blueberry muffins !"

Mmmm, me neither. Especially when they're fresh & warm. I love to spread butter on them and then it gets all melty and yummy. You get the wonderful combination of the sweet and the salty.

Yep, I'm pretty up to date.....except for the Rock Chick series. I stalled out after number four on those books. There are only a few others I haven't read. I'm kind of OCD about reading things in order lol!

Dear God, I wish I had a blueberry muffin!!

Terab (fiddylover) | 54 comments Lisa Kay wrote: "Tera, is it better or worse than "50..."?"

It's definitely not as good as 50. I LOVE 50!! But it's good, different. I fell in love with Merrick, the main character, he is super, super sweet! The girl, Rachel, irritated at me at times - a hot, billionare kidnaps you, I'd be like oh well! LOL!! The story is great and it's written in 2nd POV which was hard to get in to but it made the story very intimate! The 2nd book, No Take Backs, is basically the follow up and adds more insight to Taken. But it's definitely worth reading, I enjoyed it.

It's OK it just so slow and boring !!I really like to know what happens but I can't make myself to read more than a few pages each night.

I have loved this whole series and can't wait to go home after work and finish this one! They are all fabulous!

Hey there, I haven't gotten too far into it. I am having trouble finding a book I can really sink my teeth into.. Don't know what's going on with me, but so far it's decent!

message 1446: by Lina (last edited Sep 19, 2012 06:54PM) (new)

Lina | 5563 comments As some of you may know, I've been on a bit of a bender recently, reading a lot of contemporary romantic suspense... very glad I did it, but now I need a palate cleanser. The only problem is, I don't know what to read next... I'm in the mood for a wacky Paranormal or a lengthy Erotica (no pun intended), and would love to do it as a buddy-read. Does anyone have any suggestions, or books from their TBR they'd like to bump up and read it with me?

message 1447: by ShoSho , Moderator (new)

ShoSho (shoshost) | 12263 comments I'd do a buddy read for The Reluctant Dom by Tymber Dalton but the way I'm going I'll finish it either tonight or tomorrow :D

but I'll do a buddy read for any book you come up with. I'm happy with anything wacky ,dark ,angsty erotica paranormal
