What are you reading right now? - CLOSED

Yes and no for the Summoning. You know that there is something there but nothing is happening! And that's the same for the sequel. I've heard the same thing with Tithe and everybody I know is telling me to read fallen so.. who knows!

Yeah it did start off slow. But I really liked the ending bit best! :D

Me too if was really dramatic and suspenceful, and I'm dieing to read the next.

Suz, I think I'm going to start Divine Misdemeanors today, too. I haven't heard very good things though, so I'm a bit afraid.

I got a bunch of books for Christmas (yay!) and I don't know where to start

Oow how did you like Blood Promise?

I thought Blood Promise was pretty good. But I can't wait for the next book. I MUST know what happens!

I would recommend it to those who like urban fantasy!

--I love For the Roses! That's my favorite Garwood book, Dhestiny. I hope you enjoy it.

--I'm jazzed to hear that, Jess. It sounds good.
I am reading
[image error] . This is a really great anthology if you are a werewolf fan.

--Hi Jennifer. I can vouch for The Lightning Thief. Very entertaining and imaginative. Definitely recommended for Greek mythology fans.

Now I don't know what book to read now, it between theses:

I just can't pick wich one :S Anyone have any suggestions?

I hated Blue Bloods, so I never finished the first book.

I read HUSH, HUSH and it was okay. The Blue Bloods books went down hill really fast and I have no interest in the VAN ALEN LEGACY. I tried reading THE HOST when it first came out, but couldn't get into it. I'll try again one of these days.

The Van Alen Legacy... Well, I read the first one; but it was basically a book discribing fashion with a supernatural twist and I haven't read anymore since!

[boo..."
I am also a huge For the Roses fan. I haven't read anything else by Garwood but this and the other books about the Clayborenes

That's on my list! I'm reading Covet by J.R. Ward right now, and then I'll probably read Fallen, then start either the Vampire Academy or The Summoning.

I'm waiting on my copy to come from the library. It sounds good, so I'm glad to hear someone else is liking it.
I'm currently reading Fired Up by Jayne Ann Krentz and Shades of Grey by Jasper Fforde.

Girl you're gonna love the Black Dagger Brothers...
I just finished Lover Enshrined...IT WAS AWESOME!!!
Next is Lover Avenged, Rehv's story..then the Guide book.
Can't wait till Lover Mine comes out in 2010, thats John Mathews story!!!!1

Is this a worthy series to tap into?? I'm currently reading the Black Dagger Brotherhood series by JR Ward and the Casandra Palmer series by Karen Chance.

Let's just say I miss Thursday Next. I'm making myself read Shades, just because it's Fforde. It's OK, but not nearly as engaging to me as Thursday's world. It's not bad, though, since it still has Fforde's intelligent brand of humor and satire. It's also a bit darker than the Thursday books. You'll have to post what you think when you get it.

YES! I've only read Full Moon Rising #1, but it was verrrrry good. I'm hoping to pull the rest off my TBR shelf soon. Cherra's right to recommend it.

Great to hear, I just got it for Christmas!

I'm really excited to read the rest of them, I just bought five more of them today :D

Alright Mariah and Heather--The Riley Jensen Series--I Love it! It is totally worth starting. In a nut shell, the series is about the Jensen twins who are half vampire and half werewolf. Riley Jensen is the main focus of the series, but her gay twin brother makes frequent appearances. They are members of an elite team called the Directorate--they are in charge of policing the "other" races, meaning all but the humans. Of-course there is a back story that links all the books together, but what I think has kept me most interested in the books is that the back story changes and has successfully kept me wanting more. I loved the BDB series...big fan...but the lesser story connecting the books got boring after a while and I found myself skimming thru those parts.
This is a great book if you are looking for action and some action...if you get my drift. The weres are super sexual and Riley sees nothing wrong with having sex with random strangers on the dance floor b/c it is in her wolf nature to do so. Also a great book if you like Urban Fantasy Romance -- everything does not tie up with a pretty little bow at the end of each book. Although Riley is a total ho, you can't help but love her--she is a great heroine.
Here are links to my actual reviews if you need more info and so you know the order of the books :-)

Maybe, but I still liked it a lot, althought it did start a little slow.
