Pam | 1048 comments Carrie-
Finished my second recommendation The Perfect Play (Play by Play, #1) by Jaci Burton . Thanks for finally getting this book off my TBR if only for the cover. It was a pretty hot book- the perfect start to the summer.

You did an awesome job with picks for me. Thanks I really enjoyed them all.

message 553: by Erin (new)

Erin (erin-b) Hi Ruth Ann! I finally managed to get a copy of Midnight's Daughter (Dorina Basarab, #1) by Karen Chance from the library this week. I finished it today and really enjoyed it. Thanks for the pick! I'll definitely have to pick up the second book in the series.

Hey Erin, I finished reading One For The Money by Janet Evanovich. I'm glad I finally got round to it, because it was a good light read! Though, next time I should stick to more traditional romances. I like my steam. =)

D.G. | 4477 comments Joyce,

I finished My Soul to Take (Soul Screamers, #1) by Rachel Vincent which I enjoyed very much. Thanks for the push to read it!

I also dnfed Daughters of Terra (The Ta'e'sha Chronicles, #1) by Theolyn Boese . I got the book years ago and I don't think I read the description clearly so I was very surprised at the alien abduction! I had heart palpitations just in the first chapter so I decided it was not for me.

But still thanks for recommending it because without you, it may have stayed in my TBR for longer, LOL!

Carrie (icanhasbooks) | 970 comments Susan,

I know it was in the buddy read section and we never actually read it together but I finished (and LOVED) Seduce Me at Sunrise (The Hathaways, #2) by Lisa Kleypas

I'm so glad you enjoyed it. I have not read this series yet, but I'm definitely planning to. Everyone I know has good things to say about it.

~KarenH~ | 10980 comments I finished my second pick, a buddy read with Rachel-Goodbye Borders of One Reckless Summer. I really liked it a lot and can't wait to continue with the series!

Thanks, Rachel, for the push to finally read this, and for reading it with me!

Suzanne (esmerelda1) | 2244 comments Most Talkative Stories from the Front Lines of Pop Culture by Andy Cohen

I finished Most Talkative: Stories from the Front Lines of Pop Culture by Andy Cohen today! It was really interesting, he is the VP at Bravo and helped create the Real Housewives series of TV shows. After reading this book, I've got a new perspective on reality TV and I think I'm going to have to watch some of these shows! Oh I wish I had cable though!

message 563: by ~KarenH~, Moderator (new)

~KarenH~ | 10980 comments I finished my third (and probably last) pick, Promises - another winner! Thanks for all the great picks, Rachel- Goodbye Borders! There are still a few more that I plan on reading eventually, I just ran out of time this month! :)

Hey, I'm glad that you liked that one; I really liked the girl, too, and how she tries to figure out the mysteries of the adult world. Now that you mention it, she is like the girl in the Flavia de Luce series (which I like as well). Happy reading to you.

message 565: by Megan L (new)

Megan L Harnett | 806 comments Hi Leslie, I finished No Regrets. It was a good story. I enjoyed it.

message 566: by Mimmy (new)

Mimmy (roxym) | 208 comments Hi Amy J.

I read three books: Secrets of Bella Terra (Bella Terra Deception, #1) by Christina Dodd , Sweet Talk (Bakery Sisters, #1) by Susan Mallery and First Grave on the Right (Charley Davidson, #1) by Darynda Jones .

I think we shared a 3 star rating on Secrets of Bella Terra. Sweet Talk was good, just not my cup of tea. I thought First Grave on the Right was funny and look forward to reading the sequels.

Maija (the_maija) | 28 comments I just checked out the progress of everyone`s challenge`s in 5th message and was a bit relieved that I`m not the only one who`s read only one book :D I was thinking since there were a lot picks to choose from that everyone would read more...and I`ll be the only one who actually read one book :D
but I think I`ll finish my second pick Covet (The Fallen Angels, #1) by J.R. Ward though

message 570: by Lady Allison (new)

message 574: by Dawn (Kat N Hat) (new)

Dawn (Kat N Hat) (katnhat) | 280 comments Wow, it took me almost all month but i finally got to one of the books on my list. I read My Horizontal Life: A Collection of One-Night Stands, I kept laughing so hard my husband finally asked what I was reading. For some reason he was paranoid I was laughing at him.

message 575: by Megan L (new)

Megan L Harnett | 806 comments Changing the Game (Play by Play, #2) by Jaci Burton This book wasn't as good as the first one but still pretty good. It went from a romance story to an erotica one. Not that I mind but it was just different. It felt like the series took a whole different turn.

I thought that was the weakest of the trilogy so definitely keep reading! I loved them all!

I managed to get in another pick! I finished Again the Magic today and throughly enjoyed it! Thank you Laura for picking that and getting it off my TBR!

I finally finished Twenty-Eight and a Half Wishes. Thanks for getting it off my TBR.

message 580: by MountainKat, Moderator (new)

MountainKat | 30330 comments Final Stats - I'll update again if needed!

As of tonight, we had 81% of the participants complete the challenge! We read a total of 108 books, with 99 different titles! One Reckless Summer was read by four different people, making it the most read book this month! I think busy summer schedules caught a lot of us this month, by far most of us, 30, read just one of our picks. Sixteen of us found time for two picks, six read three picks and two managed to read four of their picks. We did have a couple of overachievers this month with Cathy reading six picks and Megan L reading eight!!

Congratulations to everyone and thank you for participating!

(If I somehow missed giving you credit for reading one of your picks, please let me know!)
