That last chapter reminded me of the greening of Dune. If we could terraform planets, would it be a good idea or would it lead to societal changes that we can't predict? Robinson & Herbert on the same track?

I know a couple of people like Sax, who don't understand how emotion shapes most people's decisions. They are difficult to deal with because they refuse to admit the value of emotion.
