A small dent. Blame it on work.
But I’m very anxious to finish this book because I can hardly wait to start my next book, “Dark Horses, by Susan Mihalic, which just arrived from the library (as if I did not have enough piling up).

An excerpt: “First, there was trust. Then, there was betrayal. You cannot have one without the other. You cannot be betrayed by someone you do not trust.
I’m fascinated!

I’m so enjoying this book!
I’m loving the writing.
Great atmosphere!
Nella and Eliza are interesting characters.
I hope not to be disappointed.

A good start.
So far I’m enjoying the writing and the alternating time between chapters.
I’m drawn to Nella and Eliza (1791 London) more than Caroline (modern day England), but it’s too early to have a definite opinion.
It’s a small book and I hope not to be disappointed.
I had a long day at work...
