I can't remember ever spending so many hours reading and making so little progress . . .

Ashley Marie This is how I've felt with Mistborn lately >.>

MrsJoseph *grouchy* I can't believe you're reading this one. It doesn't seem like your normal fare.

I have a hard time reading Toni Morrison, myself. She's much more into the sadness & destruction of the soul than I can stomach.

Kelly (and the Book Boar) It's Banned Book Week so I'm trying to set a good example for my children (no one laugh at that). I think this might end up being my one and only book by Ms. Morrison : (

Katherine I've had the same sentiments for almost every book I was required to read in school, haha!!

I know those feels. I've been force fed a lot of Morrison (Lit degree) but I erased as much as possible from my brain as soon as possible. Sadly, while she is critically acclaimed and a very big name, I just don't mesh with her writing.

If I have to read soul sucking depression, I prefer Octavia Butler. She's much less boring and a much smoother Wordsmith (IMO).
