The song that was in my head while I wrote 4:05 a.m.

I have more drama over titles than I should. I start with a title and then change it. I ask more people what they think. Sometimes, having so many people with their opinions isn’t always helpful. Sometimes it is. Long ago, I wrote a story titled Nothing Set In Stone. The words fit because I wanted my characters to realize that nothing was set in stone and how they lived was not set in stone��

I also wrote Sky’s The Limit: An Ice Era Chronicle, 4:05 a.m. An Ice Era Chronicle, and Penny For Your Thoughts: An Ice Era Chronicle.

I wrote four “By The River�� books as well. All good yes,��

Good title or not?

So far, I have this plan to write a story for all the offspring of my original aliens. I want to call the books “An Alien Love: Offspring edition.��

Here is my plan at the moment.

A few thoughts on where I’m going��

When I start a book, I outline how my characters will fall in love. As important as that is, so is outlining the whole series and not just one book. When I started the Alien Love Series, I had to know what I was going to do with Fenton from the start. The first book opens with Keltrix looking for his sibling, Fenton, and I knew that I would have to have some idea where I was heading even from��

I took a trip to New Orleans. I was sort of hoping that the change in scenery would spark an idea for a new book. It didn’t. Even though the French Quarter was filled with interesting things to see and do and eat�� I found myself not thinking so much about writing. 

Instead, I got to thinking about how much we are all the same. I’m no world traveler by any means, but I’ve been a few places,��

The masks during Halloween make me think about the lives we live.

I live a small life. That’s not a bad thing. I have done a few things, been some places, and it’s nice, but small. And so sometimes I think about the paths I will never walk. For example, there is a good chance I will never go to prison. I mean I know you should never say never, but there is very good chance I will not go to prison because I don’t do anything. I am not a criminal and I just float��

When I am working on my alien books, I like to do a few things to keep the alien interesting. One of those things is to write just enough to keep me intrigued but not too much.

In my romance stories, I don’t like to have my alien open his heart right away. Most of the time, I want my character to be mysterious and it is also easier to slowly share about his alien world. (Trying to over describe��
