I am reading your latest book and am loving it. I really enjoyed the idea of generational karma and your Van Halen Story. My grandfather called the telephone "the Horn" as in get off the horn. He passed away when my niece was a baby but years later she called the telephone the horn. Do you beleive in reincarnation or generational karma?

Hi Lisa, I try to allow my beliefs to change over time, because I'm different now than when I was in my 20s and will probably believe different things in my 70s. I definitely believe the data about trauma affecting the methylation of our DNA (inherited trauma). As far as reincarnation, I'm more interested in the karma side of things. Though I did interview the director of UVA's Dept of Perceptual Studies, a doctor who has devoted 30 years to studying reincarnation. He has some ambitious theories which involve consciousness and quantum physics.

Absolutely LOVE all three of your books (just read an ARC of your third book)! I think what I love most of all is that your pride in being Chinese comes through. My husband is an ABC - Cantonese (Taishanese) who grew up in a non-Asian community. So learning about the culture for our daughter is important! Any suggestions for books, authors, or resources to learn more about the culture? Thank you!!
