I’ve always loved apocalyptic/dystopian romance. The potential for so many delicious situations is just so rampant. My friend Leigh has gotten me on zombie romances as of late and recommended this series. I enjoyed this a lot. Already started book two....more

I enjoy Zoey Draven books. They are just wacky alien and/or omegaverse smut-fests and therefore right up my alley. This was the first o3.75 Smut Stars
I enjoy Zoey Draven books. They are just wacky alien and/or omegaverse smut-fests and therefore right up my alley. This was the first one in a new series that promises to be delicious. Cannot wait for the next one.
This was a weird mix of omegaverse and the rock star trope and it didn't...totally blend well for me, I guess. Add in a fake dating relat3 - 3.5 Stars
This was a weird mix of omegaverse and the rock star trope and it didn't...totally blend well for me, I guess. Add in a fake dating relationship scenario and the feeling of being dropped in amongst a bunch of characters I didn't know and it just felt like a lot was going on.
But perhaps that's my fault for not reading book one first. Maybe the world-building was all done there? If so, I salute the author as she definitely didn't rehash any of it here. So I'm not knocking this book on that front since the jury is still out on that.
I did enjoy this well enough while reading it and perhaps will come back and re-read this after reading book one....more
This book was recommended to me by my friend Leigh WAY earlier in the year. I actually tried reading it in June, but wasn't loving it. I found 4 Stars
This book was recommended to me by my friend Leigh WAY earlier in the year. I actually tried reading it in June, but wasn't loving it. I found the h to be a little frustrating at the time (which was surprising as she's my kind of gal) and I decided perhaps the book wasn't for me; however, if I had to pick one person on goodreads with whom my reading tastes most align, it would be Leigh. So I decided to give it another chance when I was in the mood and I'm really glad I did.
In fact, the book ended with me wanting more and wishing it was longer. Loved Shiloh and Noah's relationship and LOVED Lawson. Already feel like re-reading it and possibly upgrading it....more
I went into this thinking it would be a Viking/Medieval romance (a subgenre of romance that I ADORE and for which there is just not enough out 4 Stars
I went into this thinking it would be a Viking/Medieval romance (a subgenre of romance that I ADORE and for which there is just not enough out there, sadly). Well, it wasn't really the Viking romance I had been expecting...but you know what? It satisfied my deep-seated craving for Viking romance. And for someone who has been firstworldproblems deprived of Viking romance for a while now - that's what we call a fucking WIN, folks.
This book had so much shit I love:
-forced/arranged marriage -medieval-esque warrior dudes with horses and swords -lady of the manor vibes -fight to the death punishments -executions -whippings
Stuff romance dreams are made of, obviously.
I can see this one getting an upgrade upon re-reading. In fact, this one will probably end up in my perma-re-read stash at some point.
Thanks to book twin Leigh for bringing this to my attention by reading/reviewing it. I enjoyed it a lot and can't wait for book two. ...more
