I fell deeply in love with Rainstorm when I read the first book about him and Daniel,ÌýP.S. I Spook You. It turned out to be a real favorite of mine. I mean hot detectives, paranormal activity, mystery/suspense, gay romance...what is not to love.Ìý
[image]
I had no idea that there would a second book, which might be a good thing because I would have been anxiously waiting the whole time. Now it just came as a big pleasant surprise.
This one should not be read as a stand-alone though, so if you haven't read the first book yet....off you go ;)Ìý
[image]
Rain and Danny are finally back together..where they should be and they are solid. Much more solid than the ghosts surrounding Rain :PÌý
Who are starting to be an issue really...the ghosts.Ìý More and more seem to be seeking Rain out , and they don't seem to care for boundaries much. Rain really wants to help them all out, and he has a nice crew helping him out, the PTU (Paranormal Tactical Unit), but not all is going as it should...
He is working "cold cases" as best as he can, while also trying to listen to all the ghosts wanting...no demanding.. his attention.
They also seem to be getting stronger and stronger and they have no issues invading his privacy and therefore intruding into his relationship.
He really needs to find a way to control his gift, but all the gurus around him seem to be nutjobs, so what now...Ìý

I love this series so hard!! I can only hope there will be more and if not, that the author will come up with something just as good. I have high hopes !!
If you are a fan of the paranormal, mystery/suspense and some sweet man on man lovin', then you should definitely give this series a go. You won't be sorry!!

Ellery and Jackson are awesome together and I definitely see some re-reads in the future. But with all the Johnnie boys appearing in this one... I guess it is time for a Johnnies re-read first !! Especially book 1 and 2, which happen to be on my "deserve 6 stars" list ;)
If you like some mystery and suspense with your romance, some angst but also a lot of laughs and a whole lot of love...then you should definitely give this series a try !!!

This is the 6th book in the Confessions series, but the second book about Henri and Bailey. It can definitely NOT be read as a stand-alone so if you haven't read the previous books yet, I strongly advise you to start reading the first book "Robbie" ...it's really good.
In this following story, we see Henri and Bailey really starting to get to know each other...the good and the bad. Especially Henri is afraid to confess all of his secrets, of all the people, he had to go and fall in love with a cop !!! One who won't just let up.
Those walls of yours? I'm going to climb them. And those bridges? I'm going to be the one who burns them down.
I do have to say that it grated on my nerves a bit, that I was reminded of the fact that Bailey was a cop/officer on almost every single page... I know it was a big issue in this story, but still, it felt like a bit much.Ìý
I was also a tad bit disappointed in "officer Bailey" to be honest. I expected a bit more from him when push finally came to shove. Thankfully he got his head out of his ass fairly quickly.Ìý
[image]
All in all this was a very sweet read, pretty low on angst and high on the "feel good" vibes.Ìý
If you are in the mood for something sweet, sexy and fun, I highly recommend this series !!
PS: I wonder if I can put in a request for a story about "Officer Dick" ?!!
I am not a big fan of short stories to be honest, but if there is one author, I would gladly make an exception for, it's Mary !! I don't care h[image]
I am not a big fan of short stories to be honest, but if there is one author, I would gladly make an exception for, it's Mary !! I don't care how long it is, I will read whatever she writes down ;)
This short story, kind of reminded me of a mix, between theÌý "Marshals"Ìýand the "A Matter of Time" series. There was no "Jory" type in this one, but Joe did give off that "everyone likes me" and "I will fix your life" vibe ;)
It's also a "partners/ friends to lovers" story, which is why it reminded me the "Marshalls" series.
Joe and Kade are best friends, roommates and partners as private investigators. They have been close for years now, and all this time Joe has been crushing on Kade... big time.
What was different about this story, is that neither of them was straight. Joe is gay and Kade is bi, so there was no straight guy crushing :P
Joe is convinced though, that Kade is not attracted to him. So he has resigned himself to just love Kade secretly. Being close and being his best friend is gonna have to be enough.....until maybe one day, Kade will look at him the same way
[image]
I really enjoyed this one. I was pulled into it ,from the very first page. It was OTT and unbelievable at times, which is what made it a "Mary Calmes" story, and also why I loved it so much. For some reason her "writing formula", just works for me. It never fails to make me happy !!
I have been excited about this book ever since I found out that there was gonna be a sequel toÌý"Murder and Mayhem". I absolutely loved that boo[image]
I have been excited about this book ever since I found out that there was gonna be a sequel toÌý"Murder and Mayhem". I absolutely loved that book and I had very high expectations for this second one. Thankfully my expectations were met ;)
Now let me start off by saying, that this book can not be read as a stand alone. It's a continuing storyline about the couple from book 1. Rook and Dante. I still love their names..... so freaking cool !!
Now I am gonna try and keep out any major spoilers, because I think mystery books like these, should be read spoilerfree.
After the shitstorm that happend in book 1, Dante and Rook are still together and very much in love. That however, doesn't mean that things are always easy. Rook is kind of missing his thieving ways.... and Dante knows that there are times, that Rook's flight response wants to kick in. He is worried that Rook might run one day....
Things get even more complicated for the two of them, when Rook finds himself in the middle of yet another crime-scene. A crime-scence involving his very dead, and very murdered cousin Harold.
The detective leading this murdercase, has set his sights on Rook and Harold's wife as suspects, and he is not willing to let go without a fight. Rook is gonna need all the help he can get... especially when things go from bad to worse.
Thankfully he has his amazing cop boyfriend Dante to lean on, and Dante and his awesome partner Camden, are not about to let go without a fight either... That's not all the support Rook has though. There is also Alex, his cousin, and Alex's boyfriend James And let's not forget about his very old, cranky and snarky grandfather Archie. They were all great sidecharacters, just like in the previous book !
It was wonderful seeing the relationship between Rook and Dante grow, and to see them get closer. These two were so sweet and hot together, and Rook slowly started to open up more.
The mystery part was captivating, and the twists kept coming. I didn't expect anything less from Rhys Ford though.
Now there is one thing I just need to get out, and that's the reference that was made, about the movie "Clerks". I am a huge fan of this movie and I just couldn't leave this review without a little wave to Dante from "Clerks" ;)
I really enjoyed this story and highly recommend this series to everyone who likes a romance/ mystery/suspence story.

I love paranormal and I love mystery. So this book was perfect for me. It pulled me in right from the very first page. I really liked the mystery part, it had me on the edge of my seat while biting my nails...
To me, this was a mystery/paranormal first and a romance second. Now no worries, there is romance and there is even some very nice steam, but the main focus of the book is....ghosts :P
Rain is an FBI profiler with the BAU. He is a pretty straight-laced kinda guy, which is quite the feat if you look at his hippy parents and twin sister. There are only two things not so straight about him. His sexuality and the fact that he sees and talks to ghosts.
He himself isn't so happy about the whole ghost thing. It's hindering his job and when his gift becomes public knowledge, he is sent on leave for a month, with mandatory visits to a psychiatrist.
When he gets back from his leave, he is sent to help out the local PD on a cold case in his home town....as a form of punishment. A town where his sexy ex-boyfriend is a detective and Rain has never really gotten over his ex. An ex he will now have to work with and who doesn't know his secret.
I really liked detective Danny McKenna and I also understood that he still felt the hurt of Rain leaving him. He never got over Rain either, but he is also afraid of being left behind again.
Even though these two are ex's, they are also still friends. Awkward friends who would like to jump each other's bones....but friends non the less. So when Danny offers Rain a place to stay, he doesn't have to think about it. It's either his hot ex or his hippy sister :P
[image]
While working the cold case, Rain is being joined by his "stalker" ghost, who tries to help him out in exchange for Rain doing him a favor. Slowly Rain starts accepting the fact that he is not crazy and that there is a reason for him being able to see all these ghosts. He actually starts wanting to help them...
Problem is, what will happen when everyone, including Danny, finds out his secret...
I really loved this one. I was filled with mystery and ghosts. The MC's were great and funny. I loved the banter between the two of them and even though there are only a few steamy scenes, they were definitely HOT !!!
I would have liked an epilogue though.... It always gives me a bit more closure, but don't worry they it ends with a HEA. I would love for this to turn out into a series, cause I would read every single book. Highly recommended for those who love paranormal and mystery/suspense !!!

I am a sucker for all kinds of suspence/mystery and action books and I do love me some hot FBI agents. This books totally delivered on those points, but itÌýalso gave me something extra... A hot (former) jock turned FBI geek, all in one !! I have found myself a new favorite character...mr. Jameson Walker.
Now before I continue with this review...let's talk about that name some more !! Jameson Walker..nicknamed "Whiskey" ....how freaking awesome is that. I myself loved the name and I loved the man (and I love the whiskey).
IÌýdo want to warn everyone who starts this series, that this first book is not very high on the romance.ÌýThere's a lot ofÌýsexual tension, lusting and even some hot trysts (after 70%), but real romance and love...no....not yet that is ;) I am sure that we will get more of that in books 2 and 3. At least I hope so.
This book is also heavy on the police technicallity. These men work cybercrime, so there is a lot of hacking andÌýtechnical computer lingo going on. I myself love that shit...but some might not.
Aiden is back at the job after he took a 8 month leave, because he lost his partner on the force, Tom and his husband Gabe, in one freaky accident. He himself got hurt (physically and emotionally). His boss, who is also his sister in law (Gabe's sister) is reassigning him to a different department though. He is gonna work cybercrimes, with a new partner...cybercrime expert...Jameson Walker.
Jameson (Jamie) has been working cybercrimes for three years now and he isÌýquite the hacking expert. He is a former (famous) basketballplayer turned FBI-agent. He loves his job, he loves the anonymity afterÌýhe spend so much time in the spotlights. He feels quite at home in his cave.
These two have instant chemistry and Jamie has been lusting after Aiden for three years. But Aiden..he is still dealing with his husband's death and he isn't ready to let go.
Jamie understands this and he himself also wants to be cautious, for his own reasons.
These boys get send on an assignment, which I myself found very interesting, having to do withÌýsomeone hacking a lab, that holds all sorts of deadly diseases and shit.
Spending a lot of time together in close quarters eventually leads these two to let go....sexually at least.
Things are left pretty open at the end. So prepare for a mild cliffy. I can't call it a HFN because the both of them aren't ready for more yet...especially Aiden.
“No promises, Whiskey. We have fun, we enjoy each other, we keep it casual and quiet
Very curiousÌýto what will happen next .....bring on the next one please !!!...more

To say that IÌýlove every single book in this series would be an understatement. I absloutely adore this series....but this last book,Ìýtook my breath away !!
Everyone that knows me, knowsÌýI have been crushing hard on detective Hollis Banner ever since he showed op in Shiver...all sick and sniffely <3. I love his humor and Ìýthe way he carries himself. I just knew his and Ian's book would be the best of the series and I love that IÌýwas right.
First things first. I think these books should be read in order, starting with book 1. They have a continuing storyline, so I would not advice to read them as stand-alones. Don't worry if you haven't read the others yet....you are in for a big treat !!
Ever since book 1, we have seen Hollis and Ian dancing around each other. Both interested in each other and both doing noting about it.....the sexual tension was through the roof and we have all been rooting for them to finally make a move !!
[image]ÌýÌý[image]
Sexy detective Hollis Banner is finally back from his undercover stint and he is worried about Ian. He is also very ready to lay his claim on Ian....
And Ian....well he is all tooÌýhappy to finally be claimed.....
Boris Jagger is still very much a big threat, even more so in this book.... and the time has come to take him on.....
Throughout this book we get to know more about Ian's past with Jagger and my heart really broke for him. Its also made me respect the hell out out of him, because Ian...he is so much stronger than he thinks. Hollis is the perfect man to show him, how strong he really is andÌýseeing how he treated Ian, made me love him even more.
Their sexual chemistry is delicious andÌýwhen they finally get together...damn they were so HOT !!!
"You are so goddamn gorgeous, you steal my breath away." I'm glad the other two left because we are gonna make some noice. "
"There is a dirty, dirty boy in me dying to experiment."
But this book isn't just about Ian and Hollis. It's about all of them, Lucas, Andre, Snow, Jude, Rowe and Noah. They all need to come together to get rid of Jagger once and for all.ÌýAll of these men play an important partÌýin this story and I loved the little pieces weÌýgot in Lucas' pov.
I don't want to go into the story much more, because I thinkÌýit should be enjoyed without any spoilers.
I am a bit sad to say goodbye to this series....I have come to love each and every one of these characters. I am however Ìýhappy that Jocelynn Drake and Rinda Elliott are writing a spin-off series. I will of course read each and every one of the books in that series.
And I will also re-read this series a hundred times more...especially this book.
"Ian you are my home. It doesn't matter where weÌýeat or sleep. Wherever you are is where I live."

I am a huge fan of Amy Lane'sÌý"Johnnies"Ìýseries andÌý"Beneath The Stain". You know what I am also a big fan of ?? Mystery and suspense ! So I knew I had to read this series. I was a bit apprehensive though, because so many of the reviews said, that the romance factor was pretty low. Since I like mystery/suspense so much, I don't need a whole lotta romance to keep me happy...but I do need some !!
Thankfully ... I got plenty to keep me very very happy ! I actually thought Jackson and Ellery were quite sweet together ;) Sure their relationship is a slow burn one, and it sometimes fades a bit into the background, with everything that's going on, but damn... they were HOT together.
Jackson Rivers had a very hard time growing up. His mom was very young when he was born, and he had to practically raise himself. She was too busy whoring herself and doing drugs. That is, until his best friend Kaden's mother, takes him in at 16. Jackson becomes part of their family. Kaden, his sister Jade and Rhonda, Kade's wife are all Jackson really cares about. He has a lot of one night stands, with women as well as with men...but non of them are special to him. Non but Jade that is...he dated her for some time, when they were younger and he still has a "sex arrangement" with her.
Now for those of you who are grossed out by girl parts....this book does open to a scene, where Jackson is having sex with Jade. I myself still read plenty of mf, so I don't really mind, but in this particulair case, I could have done without it.
Especially since Jade plays a big part in both these books, and their "former" relationship, just made me like her less. I always get very invested in the main couple and I can deal with exes, since most of the time they leave...but in this case...she was considered family. She wasn't a bad person, she was actually really nice. The whole thing just annoyed me a bit.
Jackson used to be a cop, but an IA investigation gone wrong, and Jackson getting badly hurt, put an end to his aspirations. Now he is a PI working for a prestigious law firm. A law firm, where Ellery is a lawyer.
Ellery is quite the opposite of Jackson. He gre up with a silver spoon in his mouth and though his mom is not a conventional one...she is a good mom and she does love him very much.
When Jackson's friend Kaden is arrested for the murder of cop, Jackson can't think of anyone but Ellery, to help clear his friend's name.
Ellery has been crushing on the rough PI for years now and Jackson himself has quite the hard-on for Ellery. Not in a relationship kind of way of course...because Jackson does not do relationships...too bad Ellery seems to think differently.
These two start working the case together, and soon they surrounded by dirty cops and flying bullets. There was plenty of action going on in this one !! While ducking bullets...sometimes succesfully and sometimes not...they become closer and closer.
The mystery part had me on the edge of my seat, while their relationship has me swooning and cussing. Jackson is not the easiest man to be in a relaltionship with and all my sympathy went out to Ellery !! I loved Ellery...and his mom.
This might not have been a full on romance, but it totally worked for me. Like I said, I am a huge fan of mystery/suspense. I loved these two together, they were both hard and tough guys, so seeing that bit of sweet every now and then, made it extra special to me ;)
This one does end on a bit of a cliffy. Not so much relationship wise though.... more to do with the mystery/suspence part ;) I highly recommend this one to people like me who like their mystery /suspense books, with a bit of romance ;)...more

Let me start by saying this thRe-read again...
So after my last re-read, I decided to finally review these awesome books and adjust my rating ;)
Let me start by saying this these books can not be read as stand-alones. It's a series and you have to start with book 1. Even I started with book 1 and everyone knows I love to so shit ass-backwards :P
So those of you who have read book 1 already know who Adrien and Jake are, so I am not gonna go into that again. Those of you who haven't read book 1, I would seriously recommend that you do ;)
Adrien is suffering from a writer's block, which leads him to retreat to his ranch in California, which he inherited from his grandmother. He needs some time away to clear his head...time away from his life and from Jake. He doesn't even tell Jake is going.
Jake is really confusing Adrien and Adrien doesn't know where he stands with the frustrating detective.
He didn't expect to stumble on a dead body upon arrival though. It was quite a surprise for him and for me...
Of course, this being Adrien, things are never easy and the dead body goes missing, so the sheriff won't believe him. Adrien, being the amateur sleuth that he decides to do some snooping around for himself which leads to him being knocked unconscious and send to the hospital.
Waking up in the hospital, he finds Jake there. The sheriff contacted him when they found his card in Adrien's wallet. Jake decides to stay for a while and prevent Adrien from getting into any more trouble on his own. Bit by bit they get closer and yes there is some steam in this one... But to say it was very romantic... that's a big NO.
Jake...he is quite the mess. He is so deep in the closet, that one of his closest friends is "Aslan". He is determined that he isn't gay...he doesn't want to be gay.
What also became pretty clear in this book, is that Jake is not only spending sexy time with Adrien.... This wasn't the first time Jake pissed me off, and since I have already read every single book in this series, I can also say it wasn't the last.
To be honest....at this point Adrien knows what he is getting into. He knows that his dreams don't match Jake's. He still can't help himself from falling though... no matter how hard he tries to protect his already fragile heart...
"I could fee his heart banging away...It was the most beautiful sound in the world, and I closed my eyes as I listened and thought, I love you...There wasn't any future in it...The things I wanted from life -- and Jake -- weren't things he could give. But somehow at that moment it just didn't matter."
The mystery in this one was very nicely done as well... I really enjoyed it. Now I already know what's in store for the next book, since I have read them all....but for those of you who are getting ready for book 3...buckle up :P...more

This is book number four in this series and I have enjoyed reading ever single one of them !!ÌýThis time it's Jessie and Aiden's turn...and I've been waiting for their story anxiously :)
Jessie used to be Hunter's assistent (book 2) and grouchy detective Aiden is Hunters best friend as well as Ty's brother (book 3).
These two have been sniffeling around each other for ages, so the time has finally come for them to get together.Ìý
The hardest part for me to read in this book, was the reason why,Ìýthey finally do come together. There is a major tragedy that happens,Ìý Ìýand I was bawling my poor little eyes out, within the first couple of pages !!Ìý
[image]
Jessie was such a strong and sweet character, my heart broke for him on more than one occasion, but he really earned my respect with his strenght and possitivity !!
Aiden was a harder nut to crack. He was Jessie's rock, but he has his own demons to fight and Aidens demons won't give up so easily. Even though Aiden is "Mr. tough detective guy", Jessie was the real hero in this book for me. He never gave up on Aiden and his love for the man was admirable !!Ìý
[image]
I really enjoyed this book, but I have to agree with my friend Susan on this one. I think Jessie's tragedy and suffering was a bit brushed over. It seemed like he got the short end of the stick on this one. Everything is mostly about Aiden and his struggles. What happend to him was awful, but I just didn't understand, why he wouldn't talk to Jessie. Jessie bared his freaking soul to him and I just wanted Aiden to wake up and do the same !!
I enjoyed reading this one, but I would have loved to read more about Jessie and what he was going through.
Now this book deals with some heavy topics, such as (sexual) abuse, torture and violence, but it also has a lot of love and fun times. I loved Jessie's obsession with balls !!!! The steam level is a bit lower than in the previous one, but that is to be expected. There was still some hotness though....no worries ;)
I will leave my review with an Aidenism :)
Let's hope there will be many more books in this series !!

I absolutely loved this book. I haven't read the others in this series yet, but I will now !!
Vincent Moretti and Jill are both homicide detectives for the NYPD. They have been partners for 6 years. They are an amazing team, Jill is the good cop to his bad cop, the light to his dark and the fun and perky to his broody self. Jill has also been a part of the Moretti family just as long. She's become best friends with his sister and she absolutely adores his family. She has always hoped to become part of this family....to be more than just a partner to Vinny, but after waiting for so long, she has given up hope.
While being on a three month leave, to take care of her mother in Florida, she meets the man of her dreams. He's sweet, loving, light and attentive....everything that her partner isn't. But most importantly, he really wants to be with her. So when he asks her to marry her, after only knowing each other for weeks, she says yes. Because she wants to be loved, she wants to be part of an us.
To say Vinnie was shocked when his partner came home with a big rock on her finger, is putting it mildly. Poor Vincent didn't know what to do with himself...knowing "his Jill" was gonna marry some other man and leaving him. He really wanted her to stay with him...he really just wanted her. Vinnie however wants Jill to be happy and he just doesn't think that she'll want him and his broody self. So he tries to back off...but is get's harder each day, knowing that she's gonna leave.
Will he just let her go and be happy of will he finally admit to himself and to her that they have always been more than just work partners.
I really enjoyed the hell out of this book !! It was funny and sweet and just adorable :))
I hope there will be more books to follow this one, but I'm definitely going back to read the previous ones !!

Loved this one !! I've read multiple books from the MC SinnersÌýand the Jokers' WrathMC series. This series is a spin-off, of both those series, featuring "the next generation". Which is a nice way of saying "offspring".Ìý
[image]
This first book is aboutÌýAva....the daughter of Jackson and Serenity (Knights' Sinner). She is aÌý very sweet and very loveableÌý 23 years old lady. She grew up around the club and had the love and protection of all the bikers there. Especially her father's, who is also the club president. Even though Ava loves the club and is friends with many of the club's other offsrping, she does have a life of her own, which has nothing to do with the MC.Ìý She lives alone in an appartment and has a pretty decent job. Life is pretty good for Ava...
That is all about to change though... One day, Ava is taken by a club enemy, and forced to make a decision, that will chance her life forever. She comes out utterly broken and not able to tell her father.
Lucas, a very hot and also very broken detective, is the one that finds her. I guess he sees something of himself in her eyes, because he wants to help her. He knows she isn't telling him the whole truth, but he gives her time....
Now everybody knows that cops and MC's don't really mix, and the fact that Jackson and Lucas already have some history, doesn't help at all !! But Ava is spiraling out of control and she has nobody to confide in.
Lucas has his own horrible past and demons he needs to deal with, but he can't help but feel for Ava, so he decides to try and help her. Of course this leads to all sorts of feelings and when they finally give in to those feelings....hot damn !!Ìý
[image]
Ava's father finds out eventually and lots of secrets get spilled....all the while Ava is still in a lot of danger.
I really enjoyed reading this one. Ava was a lovely heroine, she was sweet and not afraid to admit that she needed help, which in my opinion, only made her stronger. Lucas was awesome. I loved him from the very beginning. Such a sexy broody detective...with a nice dirty mouth on him ;)
This book wasn't an insta-love, like many bikerbooks. Both characters are pretty broken and so they need some friendship, trust and healing first.Ìý
I loved the appearances of all the old characters, and the introduction of all the new ones.
There are no club-sluts or anything of sorts in this book. Ava get's in trouble because of the club, and her family and friends belong to the club... but this book is pretty much about Ava and Luke, not the rough MC life, since Ava herself is not a member ....
Just as ott, hot and ridiculous as the others. There is a really funny scene here with the foursome from book 1...almost peed myself laughing :)
Just as ott, hot and ridiculous as the others. There is a really funny scene here with the foursome from book 1...almost peed myself laughing :)
I really enjoyed reading this one, and even though the whole foursome thing (book 1) is still weird to me... Day will always be my favorite character. He is just awesome and funny ;)
Fury and Syn were oke, but I didn't like them as much as all the others. Fury came off as a bit of whimp...but he was really dominant in the bedroom...even after being in an abusive relationship for 2 years. His character just didn't make much sense. But like I said...enjoyed reading this one and this has definitely become one of my favorite mm series.
