Never Let Me Go

Didn't read the book but did see the movie.
The colour scheme of the movie drove me to distraction. It was subtle at first, then its subtlety became a gigantic jackhammer pounding on my head yelling LOOK HOW SUBTLE THIS IS. Everything is fawn-coloured, many many shades of beige and brown, nothing primary, pastels as far as the eye can see, and this is interiors and exteriors both, the weather is always overcast and misty or autumnal, blue skies or yellow suns all abolished, and all of this serves as a visualisation of the REPRESSED EMOTIONS of the poor wee clones whose bathetic fates we follow.
