Inspirational & moving listening, highly recommend the audiobook which she narrated herself!
She takes us on a journey through her life (so far) which brought her on a great adventure, one she'd never envisaged for herself but what amazing achievements she made along the way & I have no doubt she will continue to shine whatever she chooses to do next.
We need more caring people like her in the world spreading their stories.
Keeping this short & sweet (for a change), if you've thought about picking this up...what have you got to lose?
Give it a whirl - I sure don't regret it.

"On a bit of an audio binge now thanks to Libby & my library 😍📚
Going to listen to M'Obama while I look after the horse & we go for a nice long leisurely hack in the woods.

I guess we really can't judge books by their covers, the man who would be president didn't necessarily make the best first impression on his later wife on his first day at work 😉"

"Feeling unrooted when visiting Africa, despite growing up feeling like it's the homeland
#relatable growing up to immigrant parents in a country I wasn't born in but it is still 'home' even if I'm not from here. The confusion is real when visiting or speaking to Irish people who ask where I'm from...yeah but which county/town/village - I have no straight answer"

"I can't quite decide if it's reassuring or disheartening that that toxicity & gutter politics was alive and well in the late 90s/early 00s and has really only been revived/brought more to international attention with social media *sigh*
Another sunny day & horse time in the woods listening to M'Obama on the docket for my next 3hours +/- 🤩"

"Listening to the thought process & what went into the presidential campaign run (which I'll admit I did not pay attention to back then) breaks my heart with how the following government has worked to dismantle those goals & reopened divides that were trying to start to heal"

So far so good, am audiobooking and it's inspiring listening 😅

You're way too kind sweetie...am ridiculously proud of the booksta pic I managed to snap too - the colours are so pretty even if I do say so myself 😅
She is super inspiring, all she did with the hands she was dealt finding good to work towards in every situation

Thanks hun, hopefully you'll take as much from it as I did if/when you pick it up 🤞👍

Hardcore rec the audio for this one 👍

I deffo think I enjoyed it more because she narrated it herself👍
Felt that bit more personal i guess 🤗

I really need to try more audiobooks, maybe this will get rid of my aversion to audiobooks ☹️

I tried my first one with DJ&6 and am on my 3rd one already 🤗
Having access through my library & the ability to listen while doing stuff with the horse which can take anything from 1hr to 3hours a day depending what I'm doing with her has helped me fall hard for the audio option as it rescues a chunk of reading time in my day 😈

That's fair...we know I'm lazy and I'm only too happy to multitask so the audio is a way to not miss out on reading time for me 😅

Gracias, sorry it doesn't work for you. I wasn't sure it would for me either & I'm pretty sure it won't work for all types of books - but so far so good 😅

Agreed - it made you feel like she was telling you her life story...which I guess she was 😅

I aim to make it work with great audiobooks, so we'll see!

I have been abusing the libby app & audiobook borrowing option 😅
