Pockets by Amal El-Mohtar is a delightful little short story about pockets! You find all sorts of things in pockets. Nadia finds fudge, a tube of lipstick, an old map of Syria, and things you would not expect to find in her pockets.
How are these things getting into Nadia's pockets?
Where do these things belong?
Is a friend tricking her?
Is someone trying to give her a message?
If you like magical realism and have ten minutes, read this short story.
Thanks to Karen, Angela, Cheri, Debbie, Sara, and Carmel who shared their reviews.

The way it's spreading in my corner of GR, it's no longer unknown, which is good.
Have a look at the novel she coworte a few years later, which has aspects of this, though the prose is too purple for some tastes, This Is How You Lose the Time War.

Thank you, Debbie. It is a lovely golden gem!

Thank you, Angela. I enjoyed reading your wonderful 5 star review.
