In this scene Elena is surprised that Nino even though he's not a believer insists on baptizing their child. Meanwhile in the third book Pietro insists on not baptizing the child and on the matter of not getting married in a church he says to Elena's mother surely Elena wouldn't want to be with someone who's actions are very different form his words. The damn parallels!!!!!!!!"
