Well, this is not what I expected. Very drawn out ... lots of blushing and lash-lowering. I keep wondering how Ethan can tell Mattie's blushing when they've only got a candle by which to work.

I don't usually read introductions, but this one pleased me. I feel equipped to enjoy this book, even though I see it's a tragedy. :(
