The thing I’ve never understood about this book is that his Visa was never an issue because sports teams take care of them for players, so the whole premise of this book makes absolute zero sense unless he was lying about this just to get her to marry him.
Gah. That’s so true. Maybe he just wanted to marry her and she was too unknowledgeable to clue in? Some of the premises for contemporary romance you can’t think too hard on. But I always do.
I wish I could not think too hard on it, but when the entire book hinges on this, it’s too hard to ignore for me. It makes me sad that many authors don’t research these things before writing.
Oh ya, it’s definitely my big pet peeve too. If I can poke a whole in your plain plot device then the whole book just makes me sense anymore.
