The slow-burn wasn’t just in reference to the 🌶�. 😂
But I can take this slow burn because it’s more relationship development than angsty horny inner monologues. She doesn’t tease and torment us with the burn. She’s not having Vanessa constantly jonesing for Aiden. She barely likes him and it’s hilarious. I’m conclusion, I’m not mad about the burn speed. It’s not frustrating, it’s entertaining.
Yay! Glad you are entertained. There are lots of great touch points throughout that keep me satisfied for this one.
So far they’ve only had one touchpoint (see what I did there?)
Prepare to be in it for the looooooooooong haul.

Exactly like real life. Oh, wow. That sums up my self-reflection when reading romances sometimes too lol. Idk where these characters find the time to even think lusty thoughts 22 of the 24hrs in a day tbh, even when they’re sleeping 😂
Ha! This book doesn’t have those, so I’m happy about it. She’s a normal person who doesn’t just lust after a guy who’s being a dick to her. Dickish behaviour is not sexy and she actually just had her first lustful thought and it’s when he tried to be nice and he smiled at her.
