not me mentally preparing myself for another steam room, catacomb, train orgy/threesome scene 😭 i remember EVERYTHING and i honestly just wanted to obliviate those scenes from my head.
but did i need to worry? nope.
it's okay guys, i can confirm we're all safe.
this was a cute novella of the Devil's Night people (im sorry i forgot what their group is called) hanging out with their kids during winter solstice aka Fire Night aka PG wholesome version of Devil's Night, doing rich people stuff with all the ballroom dancing, some kidnapping here and there, and treasure hunting and shiii.
anyways, don't know what to say so enjoy my thoughts while reading this book so SPOILERS AHEAD
🕯 chapter 1: KAI MORI 🕯
� Madden is my spirit animal, reading instead of socializing? yessir.
� Kai loves the winter? has he slipped under the bus because of stupid snow in front of his crush and then had to hide from said crush because as a 13-year-old, that's mortifying? i don't think so.
� but can i live in a rich neighborhood too so we can do this rich people shit where we light up the whole town with candles, lanterns, and bonfires, and go to a ballroom party wearing gowns and masks PLEASE?
� my inner dark academia and light academia loving self is QUAKING
� "I'll slit your throat, you dog" of course Damon's spawn would say something like that
� Kai vs. Damon. Daddy vs. ZADDY. love it
� with all this cute family stuff going on, i can't help but think like Michael Scott:
� chapter 2: Damon Torrance �
� THEY'RE IN THEIR 30s?! im sorry i can't picture that.
� but why was i shipping Octavia (Damons 5 year old daughter) and Mads (Banks' 11 year old son) forgetting that they're cousins 💀
� daddy issues? nahh more like mommy issues
� why am i crying about Damon realizing he wants a mother to lean on oh my god.
� you're telling me, Damon's chapter out of all this is the most wholesome? MR. DAMON TORRANCE??
� aww Damon's not your regular daddy, he's your cool daddy.

� oh. Alex and Aydin aren't here? oh. hmmm. what to do with that information.
� OH SHIT. dead man.
� Mads and Octavia nooo.
� im sorry i can't think of anything right now this scene is intense.
� so this is what Tyler Dinescu's been doing this whole time huh.
� EWWWWW his eyeball fell out of his eyesocket?!
� ummmm is Kai bout to go all the Mountain to Tyler's Oberyn Martell?!

� omfg SIR PLEASE LEAVE YOUR WIFE AND JUST FUCKING GO AND SAVE THE CHILDREN YOU'RE WASTING TIME.
� GET YOUR HEAD IN THE GAME EMO TROY BOLTON !!
� Michael really said y'all would have to wait to save your children because i gotta get my pregnant wife from the car first, the kidnapped children with a man that's trying to kill them can wait 🤦🏻♀�
� um. i think Kai's son is a psychopath.
� Octavia and Mads are cousins. Octavia and Mads are cousins. Octavia and Mads are cousins.

but yeah im pretty sure there'll be a spinoff series about their children because the epilogue is about Mads who may or may not be a psychopath because umm he just killed, like, 3 men in one night and he's only 11 years old so um.
am i excited for the upcoming series that may or may not be happening? actually yes i am because of Octavia and Mads (i don't want them together tho theyre fucking COUSINS). im sorry but i really do have a thing for psychopaths oh well.
so anyways, i can't wait to read Falls Boys and Tryst Six Venom because ummmm they all sound so angsty so my mind, body, and soul are ready to procrastinate and ignore everyone �

ok but let's be honest- out of everything in the devils night series, shipping madden and octavia is probably the most normal reaction we can have to this series. it was like penelope MEANT for us to ship them together. i'm happy to know im not the only one that was shipping them😭 and i mean- they're HALF cousins😭 as if that makes any difference😭
