how can i not love coballoway already?!?

"addicted to you" is the first book in a 10 interconnected book series. it follows lily calloway and loren (lo) hale while they're both battling their addictions. lily is addicted to sex whilst loren is an alcoholic. this book made me emotional at points because they both were obviously trying so hard to be better for each other, but unfortunately, you can't just get rid of addiction in a week or even a month.

lily was definitely a hard main character to read about. her addiction took over her whole life, and it was really hard to read about. i felt so bad for her when she would have sex and then immediately regret it afterwards, because she's feeding her addiction. (view spoiler)[especially when she had to leave rose's art show early because she had to have sex (hide spoiler)]. lily was so caring towards lo, and tried to help him fight his addiction, which was so heart warming to read about.

lo was so sweet and kind. i also loved how he tried to help lily fight her addiction while also trying so hard to fight his. however, watching him choose his bottle over lily at points was hard to read about. i know from one of my close friend's parents, that alcoholism is very, very dangerous and very, very hard to quit. following lo through his journey was so interesting to read about, and it gave me another perspective on alcoholism and truly, how hard it is to fight an addiction. on a lighter note, me when lo called lily "love" thoooooooooo!! 🤭🤭🤭🤭

the side characters MADE this book for me, specifically rose calloway and connor cobalt 😩🫶. rose is the sister that i never had, her love for lily and the rest of her sisters was so evident. her dropping everything for her sisters, her not judging lily for her addiction, and her (view spoiler)[being the one to finally convince lo and lily to go see a therapist & go to a rehab (hide spoiler)] was so amazing to read about. she's also a badass that owns and runs her own successful fashion brand and also smart as hell. connor cobalt is my MAN. i LOVED how he was brutally honest in every single situation, and his comments about lily and lo made me giggle. he was also so smart and was so determined for lily and lo to get a good grade in their class, tutoring them deep into the night and very early in the morning. he was the BEST.
