I was born and raised in Tunisia and earned my engineering and PhD degrees in France through a full scholarship. For over a decade, I鈥檝e taught computer science at King Saud University in Riyadh. In parallel, I鈥檝e written and published fiction in Arabic for more than ten years, with several titles becoming bestsellers across the Middle East and North Africa. A Sky With No Light is my debut English-language novel. It was recently published by Kayan Publishing (rights in Arabic countries) and is also available via Amazon KDP.
I can't believe I used to like and recommend this stupid book.
An extremely unrealistic story exploiting religious fervor in the gullible (my past self being one of those); flat, one dimensional characters who are either good (usually Muslim or about to become one), or evil (i.e. everyone else); and a pedestrian, far-fetched synopsis that has no merit other than making the reader feel good about their religion. In short, it's cheap entertainment frequently published to generate profit for little to no value. I would never attempt to peruse again, unless I'm generously paid.
