2018 :
So I was having fun with fellow book-blogger Melanie, talking about different things we want to see in the spin-off series and some things we want to see set up in this novella (lol Maas and her basically-novel novellas). Here are a few ideas/wants:
01. More Cassian and Nesta and their hate to love relationship. We all want it, don’t even kid.
02. More Lucien and his family drama. It would be interesting to see maybe Lucien getting picked over his brothers to be High Autumn and how they would react, would it not? That’s highly unlikely to happen but I can still daydream about the bloodshed and drama!
03. More Mor (lol “mor mor�) concurring her fear of being rejected by her family and exploring who she really is. This was left really open ended and kind of.. weird to me. So I would love to have it explored more.
04. Azriel getting the best happily ever after there can ever be in any life. Like he DESERVES it. My broody soldier.
05. Amren being Amren and being devious and mysterious and all together awesome.
06. Elain and the foreseeable love triangle and possibly going against the mate pull (or towards I LITERALLY CAN’T DECIDE AND IT IS TEARING ME APART).
Do you have any theories or wants? I WANNA DISCUSS!!!!!!

Really tho, I like that the novellas actually are important to the stories for Maas and not just a filler.
And also I never knew I was a complete and utter fan girl until I looked down and saw I was complete and utter trash for this series.

I definitely want Elain to end up with Azriel!! That scene where he went to help her in the garden in ACOWAR just got me. He deserves to be happy and I think Elain will do that for him. And Elain needs to be treated right and Azriel is a cinnamon roll so of course he'll be good to her. I'm just complete trash for them basically lol (: Plus I feel like SJM is going to use them as an example of how mates aren't always right, you know?

I want her to go against it not only because I love Azriel, but because we haven't seen someone go against the mate bond like she says is possible. THAT is something I can get on board with!

If a new character comes, I'll be happy for Lucien.
I'm kind of thinking that one of the spinoff books might be about Lucien going off to recruit the lost Queen or whatever that mission was for in ACOWAR because I feel like that was super convenient and we really need to see what happened. I think he may have fallen in love with the firebird queen lady (lol what are names) and then Elain and Azriel can be together! Idk that might be very far fetched but we'll see...

to be honest when I found out that this was not going to focus on Cassian and Nesta I was mad! but I get the importance I guess of having a novella to tie-in the spinoff to the rest of the series. That doesn't mean I am happy that I have to wait longer for my cassian book!
I want more Azriel. They should be together to prove the mating bond isn't a sure thing. I want Lucien to find someone too though...
I don’t want Elain to end up with Azriel because Az has already suffered through years of pining after Mor. He doesn’t need that added doubt of “will she pick him� his entire life.

Wasn’t Azlain (or whatever mash up Elain and Az are) already shot down from SJM? They’re friends, not potential lovers. On another note, I just want SJM to confirm Mor is bi, homoromantic, so I won’t get my head bit off on tumblr/gr. People seem forget bi characters exist.

Oh isn't she already bi? I was pretty sure that was a thing. People should know by now that sexuality isn't so black and white.
And do you know where that confirmation is? I would like to know for sure if they are just friends!

Also, in ACOWAR Lucien is telling Feyre that he doesn’t think he could be with someone like his past love and Elain is the exact opposite of her.

I started thinking of that because when I noticed the Elain/Azriel ship I saw the posibility of Lucien/Vassa but I just feel like Vassa is too much like his past love and so that relationship wouldn’t really work I don’t think.

Yeah, Mor will get there, don't worry. (but I still think Maas didn't plan on Mor's sexuality in advance. The whole thing felt cringey.) And the stars hint there will be a baby. 😀

Also, I feel like SJM was thinking of Mor’s sexuality prior to ACOWAR. I’m reading the books out loud to my boyfriend and I’m seeing a lot of hints about things that I didn’t catch before. Like Mor spends a lot of time at Rita’s (I think it was Cassian who said this in ACOMAF) and isn’t Rita like a ‘hidden� gay bar // (I think Mor mentions that that is where she would pursue women in secret) // (also I’m remembering that Mor says she wishes to see her old friends in the new queen’s faces and then Later we find out that one of those queen’s was actually one of her lovers) I haven’t finished rereading ACOMAF or ACOWAR yet so there might be more clues but that’s what I have so far.

I highly doubt it’d be Feyre especially after Feyre and Rhys talked about wanting a few years to themselves before having children.
