That's what I'm wondering. And what was that ending? I dont understand it at all. This book made zero sense.

It was absolutely awful
I should have stopped reading it after chapter one. This book was such a waste of my time but I pushed through. Not scary at all which makes me question the people saying it was the scariest thing they had ever read. huh?

THANK YOU, lol. I’m so mad I wasted my time with this book. How anyone finds this book terrifying (or good) is beyond me.
Now I remember why I always listen to the sample of the audio when I’m deciding whether to listen or read. Ugh. The narrators child voice has been on my nerves since the first word. Also, who the hell sits with their “sleeping� child and just spills their guts to them?? This is repetitive, boring, and just bad.
